Bio

Mamanet musical project was founded in Kramatorsk, UA in 2003. It’s a unique and new sound all played live.

There are 4 guys, 4 different personalities. When they are together, they become one solid unit.

They find it pretty boring to hold on to one single genre, so no wonder theirs music can go from trip-hop into disco and from drum’n’bass to lounge. Some guys call it live electronics.

"It’s a Ukrainian Red Snapper" - the magazine "SHO" says.

They believe in music and tend to see mystery in casual things, we deal with, everyday.

KI-MONO a new album by Mamanet was recorded and produced at Neo Generation Music by Dmitriy Pereskokov aka Sher, who became famous working with such Ukrainian artists as Oleg Skrypka, Green Grey etc. Sher was also a sound producer on a KI-MONO record.

Came through for the Fuzzpile #5. I really dig the track "One Day," & "There's No Height." My favorite track though is "Coma!"

Back again listening to Chemistry ...great track. I like the harmonics at the beginning and the minimal bass pattern. With bass I think less is very often more. Can't stand show off bass playing that doesn't pay attention to the rest of the song. On this track you are doing exactly what is necessary. Listening to other tracks it is clear that you have your own style that is evident in the songs here. Essentially a guitar sound but an unusual one (without the boring guitar solos).

Like One Day but not so keen on all the echo on the voice. Everything else is just perfect, especially the funky drum riff with a simple raw sound. Lovely production touches and development on Tribal Superstar with a nod to early 70s funk and Parliament.
